With ARod looking at going for around $50m this season what is Albert going to go for next year?
$60m???
Could someone really spend half their cap on one player?

I'm not in the bidding but...
Personally I think AJ is an average performer at best who probably will be very limited in his at bats this year.
Posada without the wear and tear of catching should put up some pretty good numbers as DH in the new Yankee stadium.

really? pierzynski hasnt hit below 470 at bats the last 5 years while posada is already worn and torn and not the only option at dh for the yanks. i just saw them as near equal value, not 7m different. kvill is def right

I agree there may not be 7 million in difference but I would still rather own Jorge than AJ for the upcoming year.

To try to avoid the coming hellfire and brimstone, there is a 24 hour time frame for FA bidding for a reason. Bidding 3 minutes after the previous bid or 3 minutes before the 24 hours is up, doesn't matter. It's legal, fair and shouldn't anger people as it seems to be. Lots of valid reasons to take all the allowable time before bidding. Let's remember that this is fantasy baseball and we are suppose to be having fun. Love thy neighbor or something.

The 24 hour clock is in case someone is busy for 23 hours. Benny comes on multiple times a day, makes posts, and makes bids, but still makes the 23 hours and 57 minute bid.

FA bidding is not all about making a bid as soon as possible. Lots of strategy involved, or can be if you know what you are doing.

Just for the record... my post was meant to be funny.
I'm not angry about it... just excited to see how far the bidding will go.

I love everyone, especially Benny! (in a non-sexual, non-threatning type way that a man can love another man) I'm not upset at all with the ARod bidding. Ken explained it perfectly. This is fun. Ken and Benny run great leagues. I've enjoyed all of them. I'm looking forward to this year's battle.
